Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete or Duplicate an object

Cut

This functionality is used to remove an object from the scene and move it to another location. This will delete the object and move it to clipboard, replacing the previous clipboard content. You can cut an object by performing below steps:
  • Select an object: When an object is selected, the object is highlighted with a emissive outline.

  • Goto Edit menu
  • Select Cut from the available options. The object will be removed from the scene. You can now paste it anywhere you want.


Paste

This functionality is used to paste any object which has been copied or cut. 
To paste such object follow below steps:
  • Goto Edit Menu. When selected, a list of options will be displayed on the screen.
  • Select Paste option, from the list of options.


  • Place the object to the required location: Once Paste option is selected, the object is displayed on the screen in wireframe mode. You can place the object at any location by moving pointer to the desired location and clicking. The wireframe mode will turn off and complete object will be displayed on screen now.


Copy

This option creates a copy of an object without disturbing the original object. It copies selected object onto the Clipboard, leaving the original object intact. It however replaces the previous Clipboard content.
You can copy an object by performing below steps:
  • Select an object: When an object is selected, the object is highlighted with a emissive outline.


  • Goto Edit menu
  • Select Copy from the available options. The original object will remain in its original place and a copy of it will be moved to clipboard. You can now paste it anywhere you want following the steps mentioned under Paste section of this article.


Delete

You can remove an object from the scene altogather using this option. It will delete the selected object from the scene.
You can delete the object as follows:
  • Select an object: When an object is selected, the object is highlighted with a emissive outline.


  • Goto Edit menu
  • Select delete from the available options. The object will be removed from the scene. This object will not be copied to clipboard.


Duplicate

You can make duplicates of an object using this option. A duplicate of the selected object will be created at the same place
  • Select an object: When an object is selected, the object is highlighted with a emissive outline.


  • Goto Edit menu
  • Select duplicate from the available options to create a copy of the selected object in the same position.
