My model is jittery / performance isn't good in VR

Trezi's performance in VR is defined by various factors such as the size and the complexity of the models being loaded. We are doing a lot of optimization work on Trezi's to make sure that you get good performance in majority of the situations, but if you encounter framerate / jittering issues here are a few things to check:

Hardware setup

  • Check if your computer meets Trezi's system requirements. Trezi requires a high end configuration to drive VR at a high framerate.
  • If you are running on a laptop, make sure that you are plugged into a power outlet. Most laptops when running on battery don't operate at their peak performance levels.

Source model setup

Please refer to our best practices article for a detailed guide on preparing a model for Trezi. Here are some basic points:
  • Objects with transparency or translucency are more expensive to render in real time rendering engines. Consider reducing or removing things like trees if possible.
  • Remove extra things that can be gotten rid of, like cars and trees. These can increase file sizes very quickly and have a significant impact on performance.
  • Check for objects that are too detailed - if you are using objects from a vendor catalog or downloaded from the internet, these models are often modeled in very high detail and thereby polygon count including components like highly detailed tiny screws.
