View and adjust the grid

To make the placement of the objects smoother in the VR mode, you can make use of Grid settings. On activation, a user defined grid will appear on the floor which can then be used to snap the objects while moving them.
To edit Grid Settings, goto Settings menu and select Grid settings option. Following screenshot shows the Grid Settings:

When the Grid setting is switched on, the grids will be displayed on the screen dividing the floor as per the values defined in above menu.

Grid Options

Grid Settings offer following options:
  • Visibility:
    • You can turn on and off from here. By default the grid is set to off.
  • Display:
    • You can define the way in which the grid will appear on screen by selecting or deselcting the appropriate options:
      • Thicker lines for axes: This setting will highlight the axis of the grid with a thicker line compared to other lines on the grid.
      • Grid Lines: This setting will turn on/off display of the grid lines
      • Subdivision lines: This setting will turn on/off the display of sublines/subdivisions of the grid.
  • Size:
    • In this part of the settings you can define the size of different components of the grid. You can change the values by clicking on the number 
      • Length and Width of grid: This setting lets you define the size of the grid. Value 10 entered here represents a grid of size 10 meters by 10 meters.
      • Grid lines every: This setting lets you define the distance between highlighted grid lines. It displayes the subdivision of the total grid area. Value 1 entered here represents that the grid will have a sub-division of length and with 1 meters i.e. the total grid will be divided into sub-divisions of 1X1 meters.
      • Subdivision lines: This setting allows you to define the number of further subdivisions in a block created by above 2 settings.

Customize the Grid Size

To make changes to the Size section follow below mentioned steps:
  • Under Size section of Grid Settings click on the number against the setting that you want to update.  A new window will appear.

  • Enter the new number as per your requirement.
  • Click on 'Ok' button.
