Use the Text annotation tool

Use the Text annotation tool

The Text annotation tool lets you leave text annotations attached to objects in the scene using the Desktop mode. These annotations then can then be seen in both Desktop and VR modes.  Text annotations also show in meeting reports if they are created during collaborative meeting sessions. Here are the steps to use Text annotations:
  1. Select the Text annotation tool from the Collab menu (disabled in VR mode and tabletop mode)

Please note that Text annotation tool will only be available to users who have the rights to edit or annotate in a collaborative meeting session. Users with View only rights will not have access to the Text annotation tool.
  1. The text annotation tool window will open. The first step is to define an anchor point in the world where the text annotation will be attached to. Click on a point in the world to define the anchor point.

  1. After defining an anchor point, enter the text for the annotation in the proceeding window. You can also change the anchor point using the 'Change anchor' button. Once you are done with the text entry, click on the 'Save annotation' button to save the annotation.

  1. You will now see the annotation in the world attached to the anchor point. You can reposition the text block by clicking and dragging it around.

  1. Clicking on an existing Text annotation in the world will open the Text annotation details window with the options to edit or delete it.

  1. The visibility of the text annotations can be toggled on or off from the Text annotation section in the Layers window (View > Layers)
